Brooke Buckner
A leading Women’s PPA Touring Pro, Brooke Buckner has made her mark in singles competition.

She notably defeated Catherine Parenteau in the quarterfinals of the Veolia Bristol Open.
As the defending women’s singles champion (No. 3 seed), Buckner showed early dominance but ultimately fell to Todd. Her presence remains a highlight of the draw.

Judit Castillo
Castillo didn’t pick up a pickleball paddle until October 2022. Fast forward to 2023, she left her career as a tennis pro and fitness director in Louisiana to pursue pickleball full-time—a bold leap that quickly paid off!

Jorja Johnson
A presence in both singles and doubles, Jorja’s active at the Veolia Bristol Open and is a ranked Women’s PPA Touring Pro.
At just 18, Jorja brings vibrancy and confidence to every match.
Known for upending top seeds and never backing down, she delivers high-stakes excitement.
Jorja plays with the Franklin C45 Raw Carbon Pickleball Paddle, a lightweight, modern model favored for its maneuverability—reflecting her fast-paced, hands-oriented play style.

Parris Todd
Also a Women’s PPA Touring Pro, featured in mixed doubles and singles draws at Bristol PPA TourPickleball.com.
Parris Todd is a professional pickleball player and former top-ranked junior tennis player who transitioned to pickleball in late 2021.
She has won numerous medals on the professional APP and PPA tours, including a “triple crown” (winning all three events in a tournament) at the 2023 U.S. Open Pickleball Championships.
Parris is definitely in her zone!

Parris Todd
The No. 2 seed battled an intense match against Brooke Buckner—dropping the first game 3–11 before rallying to win 11–6, 11–8 and securing her place in the women’s singles final.
Kaitlyn Christian

A former professional tennis player, in January 2024, Kaitlyn Christian made the bold transition to pickleball. As of now, she ranks #3 in women’s singles on the PPA Tour, with 10,500 points and a DUPR around 5.90
With Anna Leigh Waters sitting out singles, the tournament shined a spotlight on rising stars and seasoned contenders.
