How to use Clinique Take the Day off Cleansing Balm
Before You Begin
Make sure your hands and face are dry.
Massaging and Dissolving Makeup
Scoop out a pea-sized amount of the balm using the included spatula (if provided) or use clean fingertips.
Gently massage the balm onto your dry face in circular motions. Pay close attention to areas with makeup, like your eyes and lips.
Focus on areas with stubborn makeup. Spend a little extra time massaging the balm onto areas with waterproof mascara, eyeliner, or long-wearing foundation.
Watch the magic happen! The balm should melt away your makeup and sunscreen as you massage.
Rinsing and Finishing Up
First, wet your hands with warm water.
Next, Emulsify the balm. Add water and continue massaging your face to transform the balm into a milky cleansing lotion. This helps ensure all the makeup and balm are rinsed away thoroughly.
Then Rinse thoroughly with warm water. Use a washcloth if desired.
Finally, pat your face dry with a clean towel. Wallah! Your skin will be make-up, sunscreen and pollutant free!
Follow Up
After cleansing with the balm, it’s recommended to follow up with a water-based cleanser, especially if you have oily or acne-prone skin. This will remove any last traces of makeup or oil.
After using the cleansing balm, read here to learn more about the Clinique skincare line that includes a cleaner, toner, serum and moisturizer.
Additional Tips
You can also use the cleansing balm to remove just your eye makeup.
Just be gentle and avoid getting the balm in your eyes. For a more spa-like experience, use a warm washcloth to remove the balm after emulsifying it. The cleansing balm can be used morning and night as part of your regular skincare routine.
By following these steps, you can effectively use Clinique’s cleansing balm to remove makeup, sunscreen, and impurities leaving your skin feeling clean and refreshed.
